Hi, I’m Kirsty, the founder of Stitch Kit – and I’m so happy you’re here.
My love for all things stitchy began when my dad taught me to knit as a little girl. His own passion was tapestry, often creating incredible designs from family photographs. Creativity runs in the family – one of my aunts is a fine watercolour artist, and the other taught textiles at university. I guess you could say making things with our hands is in our blood.

By trade I’m a nurse, but crafting has always been my way of unwinding. It’s been my safe space when life has felt a little overwhelming. For many years I worked with adults with learning differences and loved finding ways to bring creativity into their lives too.
Three years ago, I opened a yarn shop and tearoom in Worcester. It became a community hub – a place where the people I supported could continue their projects while connecting with others.

Then came Covid. Like so many small businesses, we were hit hard. I found myself delivering craft supplies around Worcester just to keep people busy during lockdown. That’s when the idea struck – why not take this online? Despite not being the most tech-savvy, I set up a shop and even ran online workshops. Out of all this uncertainty, Stitch Kit was born.
Now, I get to share my passion for crafting with people everywhere. Each box is designed to bring joy, spark creativity, and remind you of the simple pleasure of making something with your own hands.
I truly hope you enjoy your Stitch Kits as much as I love putting them together. And don’t forget – I’d love to see what you create, so share your makes with us on social media.
Love,
Kirsty xxx
